Corregidor Island, locally called Isla ng Corregidor, is a lofty island located at the entrance of Manila Bay in southwestern part ofLuzon Island in the Philippines. Due to this location, Corregidor was fortified with several coastal artillery and ammunition magazines to defend the entrance of Manila Bay and the City of Manila from attacks by enemy warships in the event of war

Percy Priest Lake

with 2 comments

J. Percy Priest Lake is a reservoir in north central part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is formed by J. Percy Priest Dam, located between miles six and seven of the Stones River. The dam (easily visible from Interstate 40) is located about 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown Nashville and impounds a lake 42 miles (68 km) long. The lake and dam are named for Congressman Percy Priest. Also view percy priest lake art  from FAA.

This is my favorite, single maple tree (view maple tree art on FAA) on water so-rounded by grass and three huge boulders almost fully submerge.

Jack Daniel’s Distillery Tour

leave a comment »

Jack Daniel’s is a brand of Tennessee whiskey that is the highest selling American whiskey in the world. t is known for its square bottles and black label. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee by the Jack Daniel Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporaion since 1956. Despite being the location of a major operational distillery, Jack Daniel’s home county of Moore is a dry county, so the product is not available for consumption at stores or restaurants within the county, although the distillery does sell commemorative bottles of whiskey. ~wiki

The distillery location is about 1.5 hours from our hotel. We arrived late almost lunch time so after securing our tour tickets, we decided to check out the town center and we found this nice foot bridge.

This is the huge fireplace used for making charcoal, the file of woods below is from the sugar maple tree. To Start the fire they will spray their very own 140 proof whiskey. Our tour guide sprayed some into our hands allowing us to feel and smell it closely, but some of biker guys lick it after smelling.

My 2nd favorite part of the tour, whiskey tasting. Too bad, taking pictures is not allowed during my favorite part which is, our tour guide opened the big chamber full of charcoal and allowing the whiskey to drop into it for about 10′ or more ft. High, this process is called mellowing. The smell of 140 proofs escaping from the chamber is like a perfume, you can almost taste the air and feel like you had a few rounds of it.

Downtown Riverbank at Night

with 4 comments

I was sitting for a while on a sturdy platform (I thought it was) and taking pictures by the river until a tugboat passed by and the platform started to bounce up & down. People from above crossing the footbridge to watched free concert probably laughing at me as I was on panic mode to safety while my camera is still on tripod and shutter open for the next 20 sec.

Lets hike and camp out!

Buntot Palos (literally translates to “Eel’s Tail”). It is more known as Hidden Falls among the locals. Situated on the edge of the Sierra Madre mountain range in the lake side town of Pangil, Laguna. It’s close proximity to Manila make it an ideal destination for hikers and mountaineers.

And now my update on the project that I am currently working on was a shot of Kai M., unlike my first try this one is much easy during pp time. Now taking the shots and pp was a bit easy, the next thing that I should worry about it the virtual compostion to make it appealing and dramatic.

Ah! Summer…

Summer time! I planned to shoot some landscape of the resort that we visited specially during sunset but, sad to say it didn’t happened because the resort was facing the other way around. The next option was sunrise oppsss, also it didn’t happened, I was so lazy that I just went outside look around and went back to bed boooooo!!!!

I was trying out a new technique that i found over the Internet which is popularized by one of the in-demand NYC wedding photographer/Journalist. The result, let’s just say it’s not bad for the 1st timer like me 🙂
